Fellow ACICIS JPP participant and my friend, Tania, and I rented a car and driver today and spent a few hours at the beautiful Taman Safari outside Jakarta in Bogor. We drove through a safari style area, which had zebras, antelopes, deer, elks, buffalos, and various other animals roaming free. One area had tigers and lions, but the windows had to remain closed for their areas.
Anyway, we had a great time. It was so nice to get out of Jakarta for a bit, just to relax. Tania is flying to Bali early this morning... ...she'll leave in about five hours. I'm going to miss her. It was part of our daily routine that when she returned from work she'd come to my room and we'd have a chat and compare notes, then head off for dinner around the neighbourhood or at Plaza Semanggi. We went to Dufan the other day and had a crazy ojek ride there, and I think it will feel weird once she's back in New Zealand and I'm home in Tassie, not hanging out. Thanks for being a great friend Tania, and I'm sure we'll stay in touch =)
